SAN LUIS, AZ. – Postmaster Diane Merrill invites San Luis Postal Service customers to join her from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 27, and Saturday, March 5, for Customer Appreciation Day events at the San Luis Post Office, 874 S. Main St.
Both events will include free refreshments and a drawing for door prizes.
Merrill said the celebrations are an opportunity to thank San Luis postal customers for their business and also to make more customers aware of the Post Office’s new Saturday hours. The San Luis Post Office now offers full retail services from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Saturday.
(San Luis’ weekday retail hours are from 9 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Monday through Friday. The P.O. Box lobby is accessible from 7:30 a.m.to 10 p.m. weekdays and from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturdays.)
At both Saturday Customer Appreciation Day events, USPS representatives will offer demonstrations of several Postal Service products and online services, including the popular “Click-N-Ship” service that allows printing of mailing labels and postage using any computer with an internet connection.
The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
