JUSTICE OF THE PEACE JUAN M. GUERRERO IS APPOINTED AS THE TEMPORARY MAGISTRATE
San Luis, Arizona — Judge Juan M. Guerrero was appointed as the temporary Magistrate for San Luis Municipal Court after the recent retirement of Magistrate Rosendo Morales Jr. Judge Guerrero is currently the Justice of the Peace for Precinct #2.
In addition to his extensive background in law enforcement at State and Federal levels, Judge Guerrero was nominated in 2007 as ‘One of the Ten Most Influential Hispanics of Yuma County.’ Then, in 2008, he was recognized as ‘One of the Ten Most Influential Hispanics of Yuma County’ and was nominated for the ‘Heart of Yuma for Outstanding Leadership’ award.
Judge Guerrero was elected on November 4, 2014, as Justice of the Peace, Precinct #2, and took office on January 1, 2015.
Judge Guerrero is excited to collaborate with the San Luis Municipal Court staff and the community. Interim City Manager Tadeo A. De La Hoya in his capacity of Notary Public officiated the oath of office for the temporary Magistrate.
The City of San Luis will begin an extensive recruitment process for the selection of a permanent City Magistrate.
