San Luis, Arizona — Chief of Police Craig Higgins’ swearing-in ceremony took place on Wednesday March 23rd, 2016 during the regular council meeting.
Craig Higgins has been serving as Chief of Police for the City of San Luis since February 10th, 2016. Chief Higgins brings a total of 28 years of law enforcement experience. During his career, Chief Higgins has worked in managing administrative and operational activates across federal, state, local, and military environments.
Mayor commented that there were many qualified individuals who applied from different parts of the United States and Chief Higgins was amongst the best. In addition the Mayor said “We are very thankful to have you on board.”
Justice of the Peace Juan M. Guerrero in his capacity of Magistrate officiated the oath of office for Chief Higgins.
Chief Higgins is very proud to join the City of San Luis who is ranked amongst the top safest cities of Arizona. Higgins stated that “One thing I saw in San Luis very strong is that law enforcement officers, who I am very proud, are working close to the community and they are doing the best they can to protect and serve the people of San Luis.”
Interim City Manager, Tadeo A. De La Hoya added that he is pleased to welcome Chief Higgins to the team, and will work hand in hand to continue to strengthen the relationship between the department and our citizens.
