San Luis, Arizona — The City of San Luis is proud to announce the installation of the first Vapex odor control system in Yuma County. For years, residents adjacent to Lift Station 300, located in the intersection of Juan Sanchez Blvd., and Hidalgo Ave., have been complaining about the nuisance sewer odor smells in the area. The new Vapex hydroxyl radical fog odor control system made an immediate impact since day one.
This system has been in operation for the last couple of months. The City of San Luis invested $125,000 dollars in the Vapex System and installation.
“This project is a clear example that the City of San Luis is moving in the right direction towards growth, also we are providing residents with new and innovative technology to improve the quality of life” said Mayor Sanchez.
The City of San Luis Wastewater Division is confident on the success of the new odor control system, the estimated reduction of odor complaints, and the improvement in service to the community.
