[ARCHIVED] Dangerous Felon Caught

San Luis, Arizona- On May 2, 2016 at about 12:30 AM, San Luis Police Department Officers were searching for a suspect wanted in connection with assault on a peace officer that had taken place about a month ago. Officers were able to locate the suspect in the area of Santa Fe Drive and Lakin Drive. Officers later noticed a suspicious vehicle leave the area where the suspect was known to reside. Officers initiated a traffic stop at 900 block of 4th Avenue.

The traffic stop resulted in the suspect identified as Marcos Castro being the passenger inside the vehicle. Marco was taken into custody with any further incident. The driver was released without incident.

Marcos had several warrants for his arrest; one of them being a felony warrant that had been issued by the Arizona Department of Corrections for absconding.

Marcos was booked into the Yuma County Detention Center for several felony charges along with the warrants.
