San Luis, Arizona — San Luis City Hall offices will be closed in observance of Memorial Day on Monday, May 30, 2016. Offices will resume regular business hours on Tuesday, May 31, 2016. Emergency and law enforcement services will remain available.
Memorial Day, an American holiday observed on the last Monday of May, honors men and women who died while serving in the U.S. military. Originally known as Decoration Day, it originated in the years following the Civil War and became an official federal holiday in 1971.
All City of San Luis offices and departments, with the exception of the public safety operations, will remain closed on Monday, May 30, 2016 in observance of Memorial Day. All City offices will resume regular business hours on Tuesday, May 31, 2016.
Residents will be able to access the following services:
• Police Department, in case of an emergency please dial 9-1-1. For non-emergency situations you may contact them at (928) 341-2420.
• Fire Department, in case of an emergency please dial 9-1-1. For non-emergency situations you may contact them at (928) 341-8550.
• For Public Works Department emergency situations (i.e., water and sewer service emergencies), please call the Police Department at (928) 341-2420.
Residential trash collection will change that week due to the holiday. Residents who normally have their trash picked up on Monday will have collection on Tuesday, May 31, 2016. City residents, whose garbage pick-up dates are normally Tuesday, will have collection on Wednesday, June 1, 2016.
As a reminder, if you need to make a utility payment, you can pay online at www.xpressbillpay.com or at the drop box located outside City Hall’s lobby at the main entrance. Please remember checks or money orders only – no cash, please. All payments will be posted the following business day.
