San Luis, Arizona — In honor of Independence Day, the City of San Luis and its sponsors hosted the annual Fourth of July Freedom Celebration on Monday, July 4th. Spectacular fireworks were displayed at Joe Orduño Park as well as a great performance from famous music group Voz de Mando.

The event was filled with patriotic fun, including live music, kid’s fun zone food and of course the best fireworks show in the Yuma County. Approximately 25,000 people assisted this great event.

Fourth of July serves as a reminder of the immeasurable bravery of those who have made America what it is today. On this Independence Day we pay special tribute to all those currently serving in the Armed Forces and to our veterans. Their contributions have been critical to the defense of our country, and our nation is grateful. Therefore, The City of San Luis Fourth of July Freedom Celebration is one of the biggest entertainment events that the City puts together to celebrate those who have fought and sacrificed to preserve our freedom, and what better way to do it than with our families.

“This celebration is just one more tradition that brings families together throughout the City” said Mayor Sanchez, “I thank the City of San Luis Police, Fire and Parks Department as well as all the city employees who made this celebration a safe and successful event” he added.
