[ARCHIVED] First Avenue and D Street intersection closed this week in San Luis

Business access will be maintained.

The ongoing project to improve the downtown area in San Luis between the Arizona Department of Transportation, the city of San Luis and Yuma County continues to make progress with several key activities taking place simultaneously.

Other scheduled improvements include:

• Lane restrictions on US 95 southbound at the Port of Entry will take place as crews work to remove and replace existing concrete.
• Driveway reconstruction on Archibald Street and First Avenue will continue to take place with lane restrictions in place.
San Luis drivers should plan ahead and allow extra travel time through the work zone. Pedestrians and bicyclists will be rerouted around closures. Work is scheduled to take place weekdays during daylight hours; however some closures, including First Avenue, will remain in place overnight for safety reasons.

ADOT works to inform the public about planned restrictions, but there is a possibility that unscheduled closures or restrictions may occur. Weather can also affect a project schedule.
