San Luis, Arizona – The City Of San Luis Is Seeking Interested Candidates To Fill Seven Available Seats For The Economic Development Commission.
The City of San Luis is recruiting interested applicants to serve on the Economic Development Board and Commission. The Economic Development Commission consists of 7 members who serve four-year terms in a volunteer capacity.
The Commission’s primary role is to advise the Mayor, City Council and other City departments on matters related to promoting sustainable and economic growth through economic development programs, partnerships, and innovative opportunities to create quality jobs and expand the commercial and industrial tax base.
The Commission meets at the San Luis City Hall on a regular basis. Applicants must be age 18 years and over. To be eligible, you should be a resident of San Luis, Arizona, and/or should be a license businessman within the city limits, and/or have an interest in quality development and growth of economic development.
To apply, please fill out a completed Boards and Commission Member Application and a brief letter explaining your desire to serve the City of San Luis Boards and Commissions . Applications and letters can be submitted in person at the City Clerk's Office, located at 1090 E. Union Street, mailed to P.O. Box 1170, San Luis, AZ 85349 or emailed to Sonia Cornelio at cityclerksoffice@cityofsanluis.org no later than February 21st at 5:00 PM (Arizona Time).
