San Luis, Arizona – The second full week of April is recognized each year as “National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week”, bringing well-deserved attention and recognition to the public safety dispatchers who are a vital part of the public safety team.
This week from April 12 to April 18, 2020, we honor the thousands of men and women who respond to emergency calls, dispatch emergency professionals and equipment, and render life-saving assistance to the world’s citizens.
“The City of San Luis Police Department (SLPD) Dispatchers respond quickly to unexpected emergencies, every single day at any time of the day and play a crucial role in the lifesaving process,” stated Mayor Gerardo Sanchez.
“As the former SLPD Police Administrator, I know the sacrifices of these brave men and women who connect those in need with lifesaving services. This week, show your gratitude for their resolute services, thank you 911.” Added City Administrator Tadeo A. De La Hoya.
