San Luis, Arizona — City Council Member Africa Luna-Carrasco has been reappointed to serve on the Yuma County Library Board of Trustees as the City of San Luis Representative.
Council Member Luna-Carrasco has actively represented the City of San Luis on the Yuma County Board of Trustees for the last ten (10) years. Earlier this year, Mayor and City Council appointed Council Member Africa Luna-Carrasco to serve a three (3) year term.
“It is an honor to be able to continue serving as part of the Yuma County Library Board of Trustees, stated Council Member Luna-Carrasco. “I look forward to continue advocating for our libraries to provide quality and accessible educational resources for everyone,” she added.
“Council Member Africa Luna-Carrasco has been a good representative in ensuring the San Luis Library Branch is a safe and inspiring environment with the resources our community needs,” commented Mayor Gerardo Sanchez.
The Yuma County Board of Trustees recommend library policy to the Yuma County Free Library District Board of Directors. Together representatives from Yuma County, Somerton, Yuma, and San Luis work to promote the development and improvement of library services.
