San Luis, Arizona – The Presidential Inaugural Committee (PIC) will host a memorial to remember and honor the lives lost to COVID-19 on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at 5:30 p.m. ET. In remembrance and solidarity, the San Luis City Hall and the San Luis Police Department will be illuminated, and will remain illuminated throughout the evening and night.

The PIC hosted ceremony in Washington, D.C. will feature lighting around the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool. It will be the first-ever lighting around the Reflecting Pool to memorialize American lives lost.

PIC is inviting cities and towns around the country to join Washington, D.C. in illuminating buildings and ringing church bells at 5:30 p.m. ET in a national moment of unity and remembrance.

“Our residents can join the City of San Luis by lighting up their homes, ringing bells, or lighting a candle by their window,” stated Mayor Gerardo Sanchez. “My thoughts and prayers are with all those that have lost a loved one to this virus,” he added.
