San Luis, Arizona — This afternoon, The City of San Luis Parks and Recreation Department held a press conference at Pizzas & Beers Restaurant to promote the Asian Breeze Vs San Luis AllStars game. The game will be held Monday, February 28, 2022 at Joe Orduño Park located at 965 N. Park Avenue in San Luis, Arizona.
Visiting from Japan, the Asian Breeze, composed of Japanese and international players, and will begin their 2022 tour across the United States in the City of San Luis. Back in 2019, the team played an exhibition game in San Luis, Arizona, against the Tigres de Quintana Roo. This time, they will face-off the San Luis AllStars, a local team composed of players from Yuma County and San Luis Rio Colorado, Sonora.
“It is a privilege to have Asian Breeze back in San Luis, facing-off some of our region’s best players,” stated Mayor Gerardo Sanchez. “Events like these help promote sports and instill in our youth the importance of leadership and teamwork, while building everlasting friendships and memories,” he concluded.
Doors will open at 6:00 pm and the game will commence at 7:00 pm. Tickets can be purchased the day of the event for $1.00. Children under the age of 10 will receive free admission. This event will feature food concessions from local and area vendors.
