San Luis, Arizona — Starting on Wednesday, March 2, 2022, City of San Luis Council Meetings will return to in-person attendance.
Due to the decrease of COVID-19 infection cases in the region, City of San Luis City Council Meetings will return to in-person attendance, beginning with the March 2, 2022 Work Session. Back in January 2022, Mayor Gerardo Sanchez signed a Proclamation suspending the public’s in-person attendance in the city’s Council Chambers due to the high infection rate of COVID-19 and high level of community spread. On Thursday, February 24, 2022, Mayor Gerardo Sanchez signed a Proclamation ordering the aperture of Council Chambers for the public's in-person attendance.
Although the public may attend in-person meetings, public seating will be limited to 27 people maintain social distancing. Council meetings will continue to be live-streamed on the city’s website at https://www.sanluisaz.gov/listenlive.
“While we are returning to in-person meetings, I encourage all community members to remain cautious” stated Mayor Gerardo Sanchez. “I invite all residents to join us in person or listen live to stay informed on city matters" he concluded.
