San Luis, Arizona — This week, the City of San Luis is celebrating our employees' impact on our residents and community in part of Public Service Recognition Week.
Public Service Recognition Week is celebrated during the first week of May; since 1985, this week has been dedicated to honoring the people who serve our nation as federal, state, county, local, and tribal government employees. The work of our 305 employees affects the community, from the roads we drive on to the safety and security of so much more.
"The work every one of our employees does makes a great difference in the lives of our residents," stated Mayor Nieves Riedel. "All their contributions are an essential part of the health and vitality of our community," she added. "Happy Public Service Recognition Work to our staff," she concluded.
"Thank you to our amazing staff for their dedication to delivering the most professional and best services to our residents," stated Human Resources Director Adela Cortes. "Happy Public Service Recognition Week," she concluded.
