2026 PRIMARY AND GENERAL ELECTION
The City of San Luis will hold a Primary Election on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, to elect a Mayor and three (3) Council Members. A General Election shall be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, to elect any office that remains unfilled after the Primary Election.

In-person voting will be available at multiple locations throughout Yuma County. All voting locations will be open on Election Day, Tuesday, July 21, 2026, from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

A candidate for City Office must meet the following qualifications as set forth in A.R.R. §9-232 at the time of election:
- United States citizenship
- Must be eighteen (18) year of age or older
- Must be a qualified elector of the City of San Luis
- Has resided in the City of San Luis or any are annexed to the city for at least one (1) year preceding the election
- Must be able to speak, write, and read the English language per A.R.S. § 38-201
- Has not been convicted of a felony or unless civil rights have been restored

The City Clerk's Office is responsible for City Elections and serves as your point of contact for any election-related questions.
Through an Intergovernmental Agreement with Yuma County, the City of San Luis holds Council elections in the fall of even-numbered years. Other elections may be called on an as-needed basis.
The City Council is a seven-member, non-partisan body elected at large to represent all citizens. The Mayor and Council serve four-year terms, with no term limits.
Note: Only registered voters living within City limits are eligible to vote in local elections.
