Holiday Schedule

The City of San Luis offers paid time off for the following twelve holidays per year.

1. January 1st – New Year’s Day
2. 3rd Monday in January - Martin Luther King Jr.’s Day
3. 3rd Monday in February - President’s Day
4. March 31st - Cesar Chavez Day
5. Last Monday in May - Memorial Day
6. July 4th - Independence Day
7. 1st Monday in September - Labor Day
8. 2nd Monday in October - Columbus Day
9. November 11th - Veteran’s Day
10. 4th Thursday in November - Thanksgiving Day
11. 4th Friday in November - Native American Heritage Day
12. December 25th - Christmas Day

Holidays shall be observed on the day they occur, unless:

• If the holiday falls on a Saturday, the holiday will be observed the preceding Friday; or
• If the holiday falls on a Sunday, the holiday will be observed the following Monday.
