Basic Information for residents

It’s that time of the year to get your unwanted items ready for our annual Community Cleanup. Service available to San Luis residents only.

Where and when to place Items

Place your items in front of your home making sure you do not obstruct sidewalk, streets and water meters. Do not place items in the alley (the only exceptions are homes facing the alley). Items must be out by 6 AM on your scheduled week. Do not set out items more than a week before your scheduled area. We will only go by your residence once. One time pick-up only.

*Note: There may be 1 to 2 days collection delay due to load factors.

Acceptable Items

  • appliances (refrigerators, stoves, washers/dryers, air conditioners, microwaves, drained water softeners, drained water heaters, etc.)
  • furniture (chairs, sofas, dining table, mattresses, etc.)
  • tires (without rims)   
  • tree debris, branches, wood/lumber, etc.
    Must not exceed 4ft in length & be tied up/bundled
  • leaves – Must be bagged
  • computers, monitors, printers & other e-waste
  • TV’s 
  • Carpets

Unacceptable Items

  • no hazardous waste of any kind (motor oil, pesticides, paint, pool chemicals & other chemicals)
  • no construction material/debris (concrete, dirt, rocks, bricks, etc.)
  • no commercial dumping
  • no abandoned vehicles (camper shells, car parts, batteries, etc.)
  • no large tree stumps
  • no propane tanks
